After working for over 25 years for professional service businesses, independent professionals and service companies, I observed the constant struggle these businesses had with marketing. I watched them try one marketing idea after another occasionally finding success, but rarely attracting new clients on a consistent basis.
However, throughout this experience, I discovered something very interesting. Few of them had a real understanding of how marketing worked and how to consistently attract new clients. As a result, I was inspired to create a company dedicated to educating and assisting service professionals with marketing. I wanted to provide them with a foundation for their marketing which empowered them to make better marketing decisions and the ability to leverage their current marketing efforts.
With a natural bent towards marketing and customer service, my career has spanned from working for several years in the legal profession, with educational institutions and for businesses that provide services.
With nearly a decade of experience in the title insurance industry, I am even more aware of how critical marketing can be in an industry filled with competitors, regulations and predetermined rates. Regardless of your level of experience or success of your business, having an understanding of how marketing works and applying fundamental marketing principles to your business can take the struggle out of marketing once and for all.

In addition to my entrepreneurial endeavors with Create a Buzz Marketing, I am deeply dedicated to my family and local community. I am a member of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, serve on the Advisory Council for Leadership Grand Traverse and am a member of The National Association of Professional Women. I am currently serving my third-term as President of the Board of Directors for Third Level Crisis Intervention Center in Traverse City, Michigan and serve on the Advisory Board for the Michigan Women's Marketplace, an initiative of the The Center for Empowerment and Economic Development (CEED) located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I have been a guest speaker for Northwestern Michigan College, Grand Valley State University, the Women’s Bar Association/Oakland Region of the WLAM (Women Lawyers Association of Michigan) as well as other organizations. I am also the author of the popular online newsletter, “The Marketing Buzz” and am a guest writer for many publications and newsletters.
